Homewood’s Beloved Hamilton

Hamilton the Therapy Dog

Hamilton is a therapy dog.  Therapy dogs are dogs specially trained to provide comfort and joy for people in need.  They have to get a special license to become therapy dogs.  Hamilton is a big part of Homewood.  He helps students  to release the serotonin and dopamine chemicals they need to improve their mood to be able to focus on their school work without them stressing out too much.  On days Hamilton is at school, I know that I am in a better mood and more focused.
